The Garfield Weston Foundation has generously invested in the future of the Nightstop UK emergency accommodation network.
Over three years, its support will allow Nightstop to enhance its reach across the UK, keeping thousands of young people safe.
Around 80,000 young people face homelessness in the UK every year – many with the prospect of no safe place to stay in the initial crisis. Our solution is Nightstop: emergency accommodation in the homes of hundreds of trained and safety-checked volunteers.
The Foundation’s grant will help us scale up the network, working strategically with delivery partners to form new local Nightstops where they are most needed and developing current Nightstops to expand their coverage.
It will enable us to recruit new leaders for the network, support our volunteers better, and undertake new research to understand the wider needs of the young people who use Nightstop.
