Once you’ve signed up to raise funds, it’s time to shout about it. Make sure your friends, family, neighbours and colleagues know all about what you’re doing, why you’re doing it and how they can support you.
Check out our top tips for promoting your fundraising event:
Share why it’s important
Make sure you tell your supporters exactly why you’re fundraising. What is it about youth homelessness that spurred you into action? Do you have a personal connection to the cause?
Share some facts about the work we do and the young people we support to demonstrate the impact that Depaul UK and your fundraiser will have.
Social sharing
Social media can allow your fundraising to reach more people than ever. Make sure you’re sharing your fundraising efforts on all of your platforms, and keep your followers updated with your progress.
Get creative
The more creative your fundraising event is, the more attention it will receive. You could even find yourself featured in the local paper if you take on a wacky, unique or unusual challenge! More attention means more donations, so get your thinking cap on.
