Supported Lodgings provides safe and supportive accommodation for young people in the homes of people within the community who are called \u201cproviders\u201d. <\/span>The scheme offers care leavers, or young people experiencing homelessness, a stepping stone before they acquire the skills they need to live independently. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Trained and vetted providers not only\u00a0provide a room, but also guidance, encouragement, and emotional support. Essentially, the young person becomes a \u201clodger\u201d in the provider’s home. This setup helps them develop essential life skills such as cooking, budgeting, and managing daily responsibilities while having a stable place to stay.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Providers work closely with Depaul UK staff to ensure that young people receive tailored help based on their needs. The ultimate goal is to empower them with the skills and stability needed to move on to independent housing and a brighter future.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
